TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Contractual Framework & Operations

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between the customer ("the Client") and Sameday Couriers Ltd (Company Registration Number: 16532703). Sameday Couriers Ltd operates an online same-day logistics booking platform. We fulfill transport requirements utilizing a hybrid fleet model consisting of our own internal employed courier drivers as well as a nationwide network of external third-party subcontracted courier drivers. The Client explicitly acknowledges and accepts our right to subcontract any booking, in whole or in part, to any courier within our verified network. We certify that all drivers—whether internal or external subcontractors—are trusted, verified, and fully compliant with all applicable transport and licensing regulations.

2. Consignments & Hazardous Goods

The Client strictly warrants that the consignment does not contain any dangerous, hazardous, or prohibited goods. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: explosives, radioactive materials, volatile flammable liquids, toxic gases, illegal narcotics, firearms, ammunition, high value bullion, unmounted jewelry, cash, and live animals. All internal and subcontracted drivers reserve the right to inspect consignments and refuse collection on-site if prohibited goods are suspected. If a booking is rejected due to prohibited items, the Client remains fully liable for 100% of the original booking fee.

3. Surcharges: Cancellations, Waiting Times, and Handballing

To maintain our same-day speed guarantee, we enforce strict controls regarding operational delays and modifications:

  • Cancellation Charges: Because our digital dispatch system allocates resources immediately, any booking cancelled by the Client after a driver has been assigned or has commenced transit to the collection point will be subject to a cancellation charge of up to 100% of the total booking value, depending on the driver's proximity.
  • Waiting Time Charges: Drivers are allocated a maximum standard complimentary window of 15 minutes at both the collection and delivery points. If the driver is delayed on-site beyond this 15-minute window due to site unreadiness or recipient delays, an automated waiting surcharge of £30.00 per hour (calculated pro-rata) will be applied and billed in 15-minute intervals.
  • Handballing Charges: Standard quoted transport rates assume that loading and unloading are fully handled by site personnel. If the driver is required to physically lift, manually load, carry, or unload the shipment ("handballing"), a manual handling surcharge starting at a minimum baseline of £20.00 per consignment will be appended to the final invoice.

4. Goods in Transit (GIT) Insurance & Liability Limits

Sameday Couriers Ltd certifies that Goods in Transit (GIT) insurance coverage is provided as standard for every single delivery across our entire hybrid driver network, with a minimum baseline coverage of £5,000 per load. Liability for loss or damage to goods is strictly limited to a maximum of £5,000 per consignment. Certain premium-tier internal and subcontracted drivers within our network maintain higher GIT limits. If the Client requires transport for high-value cargo exceeding £5,000, they must declare the exact valuation in writing to info@samedaycouriersltd.co.uk prior to dispatch so they can be matched with an appropriately tier-insured driver. We accept no liability for values exceeding the standard or pre-approved limit, nor for indirect, consequential, or economic losses resulting from vehicle breakdowns, adverse weather, or traffic delays.

5. Client Responsibilities & Governing Law

The Client is solely responsible for providing precise, accurate full names, contact telephone numbers, and complete addresses for both collection and delivery. The Company accepts no liability for delayed or failed deliveries resulting from incorrect routing information provided by the Client. These Terms and Conditions and any associated disputes are governed strictly by the laws of England and Wales, subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
